I picked this up on a whim, and it was phenomenal. Professor Cook breaks down Tocqueville's key points into simple, but profound lectures that explore the connections between what the Frenchman observed and expounded on during his 1831 visit and related modern day developments. Passionate and highly informed on his subject, the professor was easy to listen to and the short essays made it easy to pick up and put down as time allowed without getting lost or overwhelmed. I highly recommend this one!
