The scarab beetle holds significant symbolic and magical properties in Ancient Egyptian culture, most commonly known as a heightened symbol of transmutation and renewal. Closely associated with the Sun God Ra, the scarab embodies rebirth and regeneration, partly due to the belief that the scarab pushed the Sun across the sky, just as the dung beetle rolls the ball of dung across the desert floor.
