Statue of an ape sitting on books, one of which is marked Darwin, and he is holding a human skull as if contemplating evolution. The statue is also called "The Darwin thjnker"
It is 10 inches tall. Perfect for the bookshelf or desktop. Very heavy, about 6 labs.
Sculpture has a copyright of 1962 made by Austin Productions on the back of the base of the statue.
Statue belongs to my sister who will gladly keep it if it doesn't sell.
Statue is as it was acquired some 30 yrs ago. Only a soft pad was added to the bottom to prevent from scratching desktop.
