Vintage Chinese Abacus Solid Wood Abacus 15 Columns x 7 Beads

This vintage abacus has a dark brown wood frame reinforced by metal brackets, hand-cut solid black wood beads, and bamboo and metal bars. The beads are substantial but perfectly smooth due to frequent use and fast movements. When in use, the beads make a wonderful pleasant sound that symbolizes prosperity.
This is a fully functional piece that was actually used, not a decorative export item. The abacus is a scientific relic that represents a piece of Chinese history and the intelligence of its people.
