Vintage Kalevala Koru Bronze Made in Finland Hinged Bracelet "Hattelmala" Design Jewelry
The first chief designer of the Kalevala Jewelry was the artist Germund Paaer. It can be said that Kalevala Koru was the creation of both Paaer and the founders of the company in the beginning. He was responsible for the design of the Kalevala Jewelry until 1950, during which time he designed hundreds of different jewelry for the company. As a guideline, he had: "The edges of the jewelry must be perfectly smooth. A woman's sensitive fingers touch them and they must have no bumps, and they must not be sharp under any circumstances!"
