Vintage MCM Black Wire Poodle Desk Accessory Sculpture Jewelry Holder Display

Mid century 1950's - 1960's Vintage black coiled wire handmade poodle. It has rubber capped feet and a ball nose and tail I believe to be plastic.

I have researched the purpose of this piece but all other pieces like this have coils for mail or pictures at the body. As you can see this has a different style body that would not hold pictures. I could not find another one like it.

It is an interesting whimsical sculpture piece and could be used simply as a display or to hold jewelry.

The piece came out of an old mansion in Michigan.
