Vintage Nippon~Noritake,Hand Painted Gold 24k, Incomplete Set.. Six cups and Five saucers,six dessert bowls,and Four salad plates. The condition is as new, it can be seen that it was not used. …..Noritake produced the first such works in 1906. Its beautiful design is distinguished by an elegant pattern of scrolls with flowers, monograms, although the pattern was reasonably priced, the early products were hand-painted with 24-karat gold enamel, which gave the design a rich appearance. While the front of the plate is eye-catching at first, the back of the plate is just as interesting. Early works were marked in green "Hand-painted Noritake Japan", indicating that the patterns were made between 1906 and 1940. World War II forced Noritake to close the company's factory. Once production resumed, Noritake used a gold seal that sometimes included the wording "Occupied Japan" from 1947 to 1953. Items produced after this time are simply stamped with the Noritake backstamp….
