This is a rare and highly sought-after vintage Goebel nativity set from 1965, designed by the master sculptor Reinhold Unger. This is the HX323B series, authenticated by the model number and the "R." artist mark stamped on the bottom of the figurines.
Each piece is also marked "Made in West Germany," a significant detail that confirms its vintage origin from a country that no longer exists.
The set includes all 10 original porcelain figurines, each a beautiful and detailed piece of Goebel craftsmanship. Also included are the two original wooden accessories (stands) for the figures.
What makes this set truly special and unique is its completeness: it comes with its original box and a small bag of the original hay it was sold with. This is a rare find and a wonderful piece of provenance for any serious collector.
