This is my first Building Blocks pattern handmade quilt top. Love this geometric pattern! It looks 3-D. This estate quilt was actually used as a coverlet with navy panels on four sides to cover the entire bed. The little triangles that form the blocks are mostly satins with some polished cottons. Many of the blocks need mending from fraying if you desire to restore it, or it’s beautiful to use simply as an antique coverlet as is. The back is a medium solid blue, I think a polished cotton. The hand stitching work is very fine. With border, the coverlet is 97” x 82.”
