This is a very rare vintage writing desk . It has original finish on this beautiful hard walnut wood . Very sturdy very heavy . It has quotation like marks carved out of the beautifully designed wood at the bottom on each side . There's no dings or dents or holes in this desk . There are 6 drawers . 4 on the left , one in the middle and one on the right . The three bottom drawers on the right are false fronts . Instead ,on the right end of the desk there are 2 built in shelves . Extra storage , I think .
