■ This is a 1940s US Army 9th Airborne Transport Command Ike Jacket.
The unit was equipped with Douglas C-47 Skytrain and C-53 Skytrooper as main aircraft, as well as Curtis C-46 Commando transport aircraft, Waco CG-4A and CG-13 gliders, and played an active role in transporting Allied airborne troops during World War II in the European Theater of Operations.
