Excellent example of bone china teacup and saucer by Porzellanfabrik Tirschenreuth (aka Philip Rosenthal & Co. ), a renowned porcelain manufacturer in Tirschenreuth, Bavaria, Germany, that was active from the late 19th century until its closure in 1995. Has a beautiful gold-rimmed scallopped edge with a light blue color band and pink roses. The mark style and P.S. Bavaria wording typically date from 1890 to the 1920s, when the U.S. McKinley Tariff Act required imports to be marked with the country of origin — in this case, Bavaria for Germany. No chips or cracks.
