A deceptively cool one of a kind Smithsonite Cluster on Matrix from the Skorpion Mine in Namibia. What makes this specimen so interesting and incredible is the intricate scaled terminations that look like stacked Mercedes Benz symbols. Looking like an average Smithsonite specimen at first glance but when the light catches it just right some very intricate etchings appear the likes of which I have never seen. Such precise geometries. The specimen has hidden treasures for sure. Also some of the Smithsonite crystals on the outer edge of the specimen are gemmy and have a pearlescent luster and beautiful transparency. The more you study the crystal morphology the more you marvel at the symmetry and the buildup.
This is professionally cut off the matrix to better display the crystal structure. Haven't seen another one like it.
