This charming vintage ceramic trinket box was made in Japan during the mid-20th century (late 1940s1950s). It features a Rococo-inspired design with a boy and girl in period costumes adorning each side, a hand-painted floral motif, and gold gilt accents. The box has a removable lid with ornate handle, making it perfect for display or use as a candy dish, vanity jar, or decorative storage. Does show some discoloration on the back due to age.
In good vintage condition. Small chip on boys knee, wearing of gold trim on lid and sone discoloring on the back and inside lip.
