SELLER'S NOTE: I had to replace the original quartz movement with the updated version as the original quartz movement was no longer available. Once you open up the back of the clock to insert the batteries, you will notice a pendulum arm. This clock never came with a pendulum. The manufacturer also included an optional second hand that you can insert. Sometimes in shipping, the clock hands come loose, which is why I loosened the glass bevel and secured it with blue tape. Once you are sure that the hands are secure, you should be able to snap the bevel into place. However, it might be better to add nails to ensure that the glass bevel is completely secure
