This vintage postcard features the Colonial Courthouse in York, Pennsylvania. It is a replica of York's first courthouse, which served as the U.S. Capitol from September 30, 1777, to June 30, 1778. The courthouse is now located in Farquhar Park, surrounded by 'The White Rose City of York' roses. Built to spur the sale of World War I Liberty Bonds, it was returned to Continental Square to help sell World War II War Bonds.
