Kahala 40s 50s Vintage Hawaiian Shirt Blouse Mandarin Women Workwear Pockets XL

Super rare 100% cotton (no stretch) vintage 40's / early 50's hawaiian blouse / shirt by Kahala for Carol and Mary. Virtually impossible to find, this versatile and stylish piece likely harkens to the days Carol and Mary were still fledglings, years before their boutique opening.

The color scheme and style are classic Hawaiiana.
The larger size and functional style can't help but render me curious if this was perhaps workwear, part of a uniform?
Button front, large pockets at hip length and that iconic mandarin collar.
This blouse is one for the books!

Now, as you can see by the pics, there has been a repair. It is is masterfully done, I did not even notice until looking at the blouse repeatedly.
The buttons look to have been replaced except for the one in the picture which has a little chip.
The right pocket has a teensy tear next to the seam and above that just to the left, is a pinhole.
The color is still very rich and the blouse fresh and clean, no marks or stains.
