This historic sewing pattern by Kannik's Korner offers a reproduction of a French-style women's bedgown, “Manteau de Lit,” dating back to 1730-1770. A full scale pattern, based on the text and illustrations in Description des Arts et Métiers, Art du Tailleur, by M. de Garsault, 1769. Commonly worn by working class women as day wear. Sleeve style is "en pagoda". Upper body and sleeves are lined. Several variations of sleeves and body are discussed. Useful for living history events, theater, or museum-quality recreations, it ensures a period-accurate representation. A rare addition for those dedicated to historic textile projects.
• Authentic historic women's bedgown pattern
• Complete instructions with both French & English translations
• Multi-size for customizable fits (XS-3X)
Outer paper envelope shows slight wear from storage and some staining. Pattern and instructions inside remain unused and intact.
