Wonderful artisan made decorative box with a set of 6 drink coasters inside. Measures 3.5” tall and 5” diameter, it’s made of wood with an overlaid design on pieces of thin wood hand applied to the surface of the lid and each coaster. Narrow strips of rattan wood are woven and laid on the surface of the box. I could not find one just like this one but was able to confidently narrow the design to the Equador region. Note, this is vintage and as such has some raising up of the thin wood design in places, probably from humidity and use. Please see all photos.
