Design:
Obverse: Features a crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, facing right, wearing a high-collared ermine cloak and the collar of the Garter and Badge of the Bath.
Reverse: Displays the Royal Cypher "EIIR" (Elizabeth II Regina) surmounted by a large crown, with the legend "QUEEN ELIZABETH II CROWNED 2nd JUNE 1953" inscribed around the edge.
Material and Size: While the primary Coronation Medal was made of silver, commemorative medallions like the one pictured were also produced in bronze. The standard medal has a diameter of 1.25 inches (32mm).
