Denomination: 1/2 Franc (also known as 50 centimes, Rappen, or centesimo depending on the language region of Switzerland).
Composition: This coin, minted in 1962, is composed of silver with a fineness of 0.835. Later 1/2 Franc coins (from 1968 onwards) were made of cupro-nickel.
Design: The reverse side, as shown in the image, features a wreath formed of oak and alpine rose branches, with the denomination "1/2 Fr." and the year "1962" in the center. The obverse side (not shown) depicts Helvetia, the female personification of Switzerland, standing and holding a spear and a shield.
Circulation: This silver version of the 1/2 Franc was demonetized on April 1, 1971.
