The editors of Better Homes & Gardens made history in 1930 when they introduced the first ring-bound cook book ever published. They were the first to test every recipe over and over until it rated high in relia-bility, economy, taste, and ease of preparation. The idea was to make a complete recipe book with chapter dividers and ring binding more recipes could be added where they belonged and to guarantee the homemaker perfect results always.
This was the idea and it worked.
Six editions and thirty-four years later, the famous Better Homes & Gardens New Cook Book arrives at another important milestone . .. it is the first hardbound book to sell 10 million copies! (Excluding the Bible and dictionaries.)
