Antique 1901 Griswold No 8 Cast Iron Waffle Iron New American
- Patent date 1901
- Includes low base 975, and waffle iron sides 976 & 977
- Handles on waffle iron are a cast iron cage type receiver with wood insert handles, which are painted
- Being sold as is - we have had this in storage for over 40 years. It has NOT been restored
- Some rust has been lightly removed, but much remains
- Handles on both sides of the iron were re-welded over 40 years ago.
- Hard to find, and a great piece to add to your Griswold collection, or possibly restore for use.
Fair Condition
- Base has a slight wobble .
- All pieces have rust
- Wood insert handle on 977 side is a bit wiggly but seems secure
- Breaks on both handles were re-welded over 40 years ago
Approximate Overall Measurements
- Baking surface of iron is about 7 1/2" diameter
- Low base is about 9 1/2" wide
- Handles, joints, etc. add extra dimension
