Antique diffuser, comal/tortilla warmer

I Found this very old stove top heat diffuser/comal/ tortilla warmer in New Braunfels, TX. Solid cast iron with a patent date of June 27, 1911. No cracks or pitting to metal, just some very light surface corrosion. Excellent condition for a century old piece. Has a diameter of 9" and a very nice heat diffusing pattern on its underside. Great for use when even Heat Diffuser creates a flat cooking surface, reduces and distributes heat evenly, eliminates hot spots in pans, and keeps foods from scorching.
* Eliminate hot spots absorbs and diffuses heat evenly on electric and gas burners; not recommended for glass cooktops, as it could cause scratches
* Slow simmer sauces and other foods without them scorching or boiling over; helps balance smaller pots like butter warmers and espresso makers
* Durable and sturdy; longer handle keeps hands safely away from heat; wipe clean or hand wash in warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly
