Tohono O'odham (formerly Papago) tribe of the Sonoran Desert in Arizona and Mexico makes this type of basket still. It is the little wear and tear, and the weaving technique thar helps me date it to about the q950s-1960s eras. These baskets were traditionally used for various purposes in the home. It was the ideal size for a "catch all" basket!
It's 7 1/4" in diameter and is in excellent vintage condition. Non-smoking and no pets in my home.
