Bovril is a meat extract paste which is spread on toast, used as a flavoring, or diluted to make a drink. It was developed in the 1870s, this token is dated 1897 for the diamond jubilee of Queen Victoria. I’m not sure exactly what this token was used for. 21mm, I think brass, could be copper.
