These plants are one of the larger Ajuga growing varieties with large spinach-like leaves. It develops a bronze look when located in a sunny area. In the shade, the leaves tend to be a deep rich green.

This perennial plant quickly fills in empty areas, smothering out weeds while adding exceptional foliage color and blooms. The ground cover spreads through runner roots. The flowers are normally bluish to purple in color.
