MCM Nan Bangs Jim Mckinnell Trefoil Vase Organic Vintage Art Studio Pottery

On offer is this lovely McKinnell Studio vase. We believe it was made by Nan Bangs McKinnell (1913-2012) in the late 1950s - early1960s, but cannot confirm. We have found other works of hers with a similar color combination and overall look, so we're fairly confident. That said, she and her husband Jim McKinnell were both highly-skilled ceramicists and this piece is a delight. It features an organic form with a trefoil/tulip-shaped opening. A lovely periwinkle/light blue tone with emerald green accents. The McKinnells were known artists and are well-documented in The Marks Project website. They both attended the University of Washington (which is where they met), and their works are in multiple museum collections in the United States, as well as Scotland. In beautiful condition.
